Believe it or not, this is not a website.
asgartech.com is actually a Gopher site. However, the vast majority of people with internet access either don't know about Gopher or dismiss the protocol as irrelevant and thus don't know how to access gopher sites.
If you want to access asgartech.com via Gopher without using a Linux/Unix system, the following methods are available:
- Using the public HTTP/Gopher proxy at floodgap.com
- Using DiggieDog for Android
- Using the Gopher Client for iOS
The following command line apps also work. Just copy one of the commands below and paste them into your prompt:
- Using gopher:
gopher -p / asgartech.com 70
- Using lynx:
Windows users should note that Lynx installers are available and run quite well.
Hopefully you'll come and visit AsgarTech on Gopher soon. If you want to try building your own Gopher site, you should consider creating a free shell account on the SDF Public Access Unix System.
